Response to Noxious Stimuli

I know at some point Dave and/or Shane have said something like
"There is no predictable response to noxious stimuli, the adaptations are specific to the individual"
I have it written and highlighted in my notes!
But I think there was a journal article mentioned to support this statement, and I didn't write that bit down.
Any idea which article? I've had a skim through the dropbox folders but none of them jumped out at me as supporting this statement.

Hey @Annette - not one particular article but if you go to this lesson in the precourse and scroll under the video you'll see screenshots of a few of the different articles to support this statement :)
